I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about wearing a pair of Espadrilles them that seriously make you feel like you’re strolling the streets of Tulum or Barcelona. Come on, when styles from 2007 come back to fruition a decade later, you
know they gotta be good stuff.
Rope-soled, and handmade cotton or canvas uppers make Espadrilles one of the most comfortable forms of summer footwear out there. And unlike 2007 (or day I say it, the 14th century France where they originated), these shoes have recently transformed from plain and casual to a wide-variety of their very own footwear category.
Flats, platforms, open toed, close-toed, tie up, slip-on, studded, pompom’d or tasseled, these gladiator-esque shoes take your outfit up a notch and add the kind of simple detailing that you can never find with a typical summer heel or flat.
