There’s no denying that stocking up on knit sweaters is the best part of fall!
Despite having more than a few variations of fall knit sweaters in my closet, I cannot say no to adding a couple more each year! So long to boring knits, for 2018, we’re talking mock-neck, fringe, balloon sleeves and chunky chunky chunky for fall knit sweaters! Here are 3 of my absolute favourite styles for the season:
BUT WAIT!
First thing’s first: BALLOON SLEEVES! They are everywhere! You’ll see them in 2/3 of the next styles I show, and girl, I guarantee this post won’t be the last of them. I didn’t realize how much I missed them over the summer, but now that fall has made a return I’m so happy to have them back!
Back to regular scheduled programming: FALL KNIT SWEATERS!
Fringe is all the rage in BOTH spring and summer, but a chunky fringe is what I’m living for this fall! I love the gypsy-boho-vibes, and how comfy and casual it looks while still remaining stylish! It makes me want to sit inside and sip coffee alllll day long. I’m loving the cream as seen here, but I’ve also seen variations in grey, camel, or any other neutral colour that are just gorgeous! Pair this fringe-y knit sweater with a pair of more casual or distressed denim, and voila – you’re the boho babe you’ve always dreamt of being!
Black is a classic for fall and winter, and when it’s a mock neck? SO CHIC! I love a comfy knit that I can throw on and feel put together while keeping warm, and mock neck is the perfect style to do just that. Paired with sleek black dress pants, a knit can be chic; not frumpy! It’s the easiest way to go from casual Friday at the office to evening cocktails or Thanksgiving dinner while keeping cozy allll day long. Again, balloon sleeves make another appearance! Have we just identified fall’s biggest trend…?
A cardigan is essential every season, but in the fall, CHUNKY knits are taking over! I have been living in this chunky blush cardigan since I bought it. Wear it to school with jeans, on casual Friday’s with a nice pair of pants, or at home on lazy Sunday nights, curled up by the fire. I’ve begun to refer to this as my Netflix and tea sweater because it’s that gosh darn comfy I never want to take it off. I’ve said it before, but versatile pieces are an investment in your wardrobe. And this is the perfect example of getting multiple uses out of ‘one simple piece!
