YES WAY FROSÉ
They say every summer has a story, but I think every summer has a cocktail!
The other day I showed you how to set up the perfect party mini bar, so in honour of today being Friday, I want to share a summer signature cocktail: Frosé!
Although I’m not always the biggest fan of frozen drinks (so. much. sugar), this recipe is easily my new summer go-to. It’s quick to make, uses just 3 ingredients, and can be made with as much or as little sugar as your sweet tooth desires!
To tell you the truth I’m really not sure how it took us so long to realize frozen rosé would make an amazing drink, but it must have been worth the wait because I think we’ve nailed it. I’m so looking forward to testing this out with other rosés and other fruits as the summer goes on. I’m thinking of doing a lighter bodied, watermelon take on this recipe next!

ALL YOU NEED:
- 1 750 ml bottle of your favourite Rosé wine (I prefer a bolder, dark-bodied rosé, like Barefoot Pink Moscato)
- 1-2 tbsp simple syrup (to taste)
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
ALL YOU NEED TO DO:
- Freeze your wine in a cake pan for 6-12 hours
- note that it won’t completely freeze due to the alcohol – it will be soft and slushy
- Scrape the frosé into a blender, add frozen strawberries and simple syrup
- Purée til you get Frosé!
- Pour it into a pretty wine glass and top with a pretty straw or a few berries and voilà!
Test it out and let me know how you put your own spin on this new summer signature in the comments!
