4 At-Home Instagram Workouts Perfect for Summer Travel
While we may not be traveling quite as much this summer due to COVID-19 and all the restrictions, I for certain will be spending most of time outside the city at my cottage which means I’m in need of free at-home Instagram workouts that are easy to do while traveling or on the go!
Throughout the past few months of quarantine life, at-home workouts have been one of my favourite ways to pass the time and keep myself moving (see my post on Things to do While Social Distancing here for more ideas). As someone who primarily works out at the gym or in group classes, my equipment supply has been limited. Lucky for me (and now you), I found a ton of free at-home Instagram workouts that require little to no equipment for a quick and dirty sweat sesh from anywhere! Yoga mat personally recommended but you can do without!
Here are my top favourites:
1. IGTV Rumble Boxing
@doyourumble offers 30-45 minute total body HIIT and cardio class that gets your heart pumping and body sweating. While it is a shadowboxing class, a lot of the work is full body. Most classes are 8 “rounds” of 3 minutes each, that range from different boxing combos, to legs, to cardio, to plank series and more. I love this class as I know it’ll give me a good, full body sweat no matter what. There are various instructors that teach their IGTV classes but I tend to stick to the female instructors, and have found a few personal favs after doing so many classes!
No weights are required, but I like to use handweights for the boxing portion.
2. IGTV DanceBody Dance Cardio
@dancebody offers 20-30 minute dance cardio class for any skill level (believe me, I CANNOT dance). I love this workout when I want a little mid-day break to get moving. These classes feature easy-to-follow moves that get your cardio up with toning intervals throughout. I would consider this an easy-moderate workout… and could easily be done on the dock 😉
Wrist or ankle weights recommended. I use handweights.
3. IG Live A Sculpt Body Workouts
@alessiasculpt is ~30 minute low impact targeted workouts usually focusing on booty/legs & abs or arms. I love doing Alessia’s strengthening & sculpting workouts because they’re low impact, equipment free but always give me such a burn!! These are the perfect early morning workouts that wake me up and get my body moving in a good way, not a quit-halfway-through-because-you’re-so-exhausted kind of way.
All bodyweight.
4. IGTV / Live Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Workouts
@si_swimsuit features ~30-40 minute workouts of various styles! When I’m looking to mix it up or find something new, I will take a look at their IGTV and find something interesting to get me excited about a quick workout! From HIIT to yoga to full body toning, there’s tons of different workouts from different trainers, and it often leads me to finding new favorite fitness influencers to follow!
May require (light) weights (usually 3-5 lb).
